Rainey Women 7. City of Armagh Women 29
The City of Armagh Senior Women travelled to Hatrick Park, home of Rainey RFC on Sunday for their third round of the Championship B league.
The Armagh Women were in a good position with a full squad. On a perfect day for playing rugby the game kicked off at 2pm and by 3 minutes in Rebecca Kirkland scored the first try, ably converted by Katierose Pickering.
Play continued for a period of time with both teams working hard but it was the Rainey Women who got over the line around 25 minutes and converted to even the score at 7-7.
Armagh continued with sustained pressure and before half time they were able to secure 2 further tries through Rebecca Kirkland and Gemma Gillanders with a conversion by Katierose to bring the half time score to 7-19.
Both teams continued to work hard in the second half with strong efforts from everyone. Armagh worked the ball just that little bit smarter and were more dominant resulting in a further 2 tries,
