There was a large turnout for a festive cracker of a match on Saturday 27th December between COARFC Over 35s and a Third/Fourth Select XV.
Before the match a minute’s silence was observed due to the sad passing of both Adam Hegarty and Simon Dougan.
The over 35s fielded 28 players with 2 in their ranks in the over 50 category – congratulations to them!
Tries were scored for the 3/4s squad by Jon Surgeon, John Faloon, Dan Reynolds and Pat Quigley.
It was the over 35s though who ended up with the bragging rights, scoring 5 tries through Philip Fletcher, Andrew Willis, Andrew Morton, Mark Jennings and Robbie Faloon.
Andrew Fulton refereed the game which was free flowing with both teams showing great skills.
Afterwards a packed clubhouse had live music, the Christmas draw and the 150 club draw, bringing to a close the club’s 150th anniversary celebrations.
